I woke up one morning in love with vengeance
The morning was grey the branches were twisted
The cold wind was whistling its eternal song
The land was barren and I was with my mistress
She told me that I would love her, there was no egress
Her hands were cold and her hair was black
Vengeance swore that she would make them suffer
She was the only one for me as there was no other
All that was asked was to capitulate to the hate
Surrender your life to your anger and she would be yours
I thought I had no choice no free will in this cause
I nodded my head to submit; she kissed me with black lips
On that hilltop I stood and from my eye a single tear did slip
Her venom seeped deeply into my body that day
I looked to the dark horizon as the shadows fell
The pact had been made; I had become her faithful slave
Though I was now a coward I thought myself to be brave
I loved my new mistress without any conditions
As I walked through the fields the flowers would wilt
My intentions unfocused-this is the life that I had built
There was so much hate beneath the sky
The bitterness in my veins would be my driving force
It had been pumped into me over the years with no remorse
Vengeance wouldnt allow me to sit in idle
I must hate I must grit my teeth and shout at the sky
Forever the despair and the regret would keep me alive

"Our civilization is addicted to its sins. we despoil the Earth and corrupt the lives of millions of people without a qualm. We do not take responsibility for anything we do. We glorify every sin until we choke ourselves with it." -Whitley Streiber
